Our client is a very well-known and award-winning business with a number of sites across the UK and they’re continuing to grow. They are currently looking to hire an experienced Management Accountant for their head office based in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys being involved in the full production of month-end accounts and analysis.  
 
Management Accountant - What's on offer

• Salary up to £42,000 annual base
• 28 days holiday entitlement
• Onsite car parking
• Hybrid working (typically 4 days in the office, 1 day from home)

Management Accountant - Role Requirements 

• Previous experience in Xero or Sage Accountancy Packages
• Fully / Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA (or equivalent)
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Sound business knowledge.
• Accuracy and an eye for detail.  

Management Accountant - Role Responsibilities 

• You will be responsible for producing management accounts for all sites.
• Manage all accounting transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
• Responsible for journal entries including prepayments and accruals.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Liaise with operational colleagues e.g. P&L reviews, Budgets, dealing with financial queries etc.

Management Accountant - Suitable Backgrounds

• Our client is open to different industry backgrounds.
• The role would suit someone who’s hands on and has worked within an SME
• We would also be interested to hear from accountants who work in private practice but are interested in moving into a commercial role in the industry.
