Intermediate Estimator – Fire – Warrington – Up to £35,000 + great package
 
About the Company 
 
We are working with an established Fire & Security maintenance organisation, who works UK wide with Commercial Clients maintaining their Fire and Security systems in buildings.

We are looking for an Intermediate Estimator to join a projects team in the Fire Protection Sector, based out of their office in the Warrington area, the successful candidate will be responsible for Surveying and submitting bids/quoting for projects, as well as estimating full project costs.

Intermediate Estimator - Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a junior estimator or bid writer in the fire industry
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of fire protection systems and related codes and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other industry-specific software programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Intermediate Estimator - Responsibilities

• Collate and submit quotes for fire protection and passive fire projects, including preparing and submitting bids, pricing, and supporting documents as needed
• Estimate the cost of projects based on the scope of work, required materials, and labour costs
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all bidding requirements are met
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including developing contingency plans and managing change orders
• Review and analyse project budgets to ensure that they are accurate and that they are meeting the financial goals
• Manage multiple tenders simultaneously and prioritise tasks to ensure that all deadlines are met
• Assist with contract negotiations, including developing terms and conditions
• Taking a strategic approach and focusing on delivering high-quality and competitive bids.

This role would suit an Estimator, Bid Writer, Bid Estimator, Intermediate Estimator, Assistant Estimator, Bidding Manager, Estimator, Junior Estimator, Project Engineer, Passive Fire Supervisor / Engineer, Junior Estimator, Fire Sprinkler Engineer, Service Maintenance Engineer, Senior Engineer or Fire Service Supervisor looking to come off the tools into a more commercial role.
