About the company 
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Shift Manager to oversee all Factory Manufacturing Operations at site. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management of our Continental Night shift (blue shift), supporting and coaching team members to achieve operational excellence.
 
Shift Manager – The Rewards

• Salary up to £37,000
• Continental night shifts: 4 on 4 off
• + Package

Shift Manager - Requirements

• Excellent people management skills within an FMCG environment essential
• Worked with a broad range of SKU’s.
• Experience of major retailer audits
• Extensive working knowledge and experience of BRC, HACCP, GMP and QMS.
• Thorough knowledge of the retailer manufacturing standards and can demonstrate achievement of the highest ratings.
• Experience of implementing new systems, procedures and improvement plans
• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of SOP’s and cleaning site schedules.
• Extensive experience and understanding of food labelling requirements.

Shift Manager – Responsibilities
 
You will effectively manage all production resources during time of responsibility such that KPI’s are achieved and exceeded. KPI’s being in Health and Safety, Quality, Stock and Service, Cost in labour and materials. To develop teams to ensure process and products comply with all legal, company, industry best practice, H&S ethical and customer agreed technical standards. 

• Support the setting up of minimum stocks.
• Effective management of Team Leaders, supporting and coaching to reach their potential.
• Log all material shortages in material log sheet.
• Generate weekly plans in sequence and any capacity constraints.
• Ensure demand is reflected in plan and highlighting any anomalies.
• Updating demand planner daily, schedule outloads in line with plans as well as driving continual improvement of the daily/weekly plan
• Ensure SKU speeds reflective of current run rates.
• Ensure any new products follow the new NPD sheet.
• Maintain KPI report update for manager (+4 weeks cover)
• Log all material shortages in material log sheet.
• FGS to be managed to agreed targets in line with your manager and published weekly.
• Management of the shift production aspects of the sites production
• Facilitating hygiene standards and direction of production resources to help achieve this.
• Helping to maintain GMP and safety standards within the Site.
• Supporting with audits
• Reporting on production achieved
