Our client a leader in the foodservice industry is looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team in the Oxfordshire area.

 Engineering Team Leader – Requirements & Responsibilities 
  • Support the day-to-day maintenance of the site and to assist the Engineering Manager with co-ordinating the safe and efficient operations of the site in accordance with health and safety and legislative requirements.
  • To provide supervision and assistance to the Engineers within the team.
  • Organise and implement maintenance schedules as per manufacturer’s guidelines and liaise with the site Management to provide updates on maintenance schedules and work progress.
  • To implement and keep the asset management system updated and to attach costing for specific projects/plant modifications on site.
  • To carry out risk assessments of routine maintenance procedures and unplanned works.
  • To ensure the shift Engineers take full responsibility for their work and working environment. They should ensure effective communication with Mangers/colleagues when carrying out, and after completing any work, as well as ensuring that all tools are maintained and accounted for, maintaining critical spares, and ensuring replacement of parts as required at all times.
  • To liaise with external contractors and review RAMS prior to work commencing and ensure that all permit-to work documents are completed to the required standard.
  • Manage Maintenance Technicians to ensure they identify, diagnose, and rectify faults/breakdowns in a timely safe manner, ensuring minimum impact to efficiency, in line with the demands of the Production Schedule
  • Review breakdowns and manage corrective actions through the planned maintenance program
  • Compile and manage a “Critical Spares” list in conjunction with the Planned Maintenance Schedule
  • Control and improve the Engineering Stores function to ensure that costs and machinery availability are maintained to agreed levels
  • Control and development of suppliers in relation to all engineering stores items and key manufacturing consumable items, to ensure availability of parts when required
  • Identify and develop sufficient suppliers and service providers to ensure adequate capability to the site
