SHEQ Manager – Chemical Distribution – St. Helens – Salary up to £37,000 
 
About the Company  
 
Our client is an established and leading distributor of chemicals, oils and additives. Part of a growing international group the business is looking for a leader to establish and head up the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the client is fully compliant with all aspects of SHEQ and leading a team of two.
 
 SHEQ Manager – The Rewards 

• Salary Negotiable DOE – Up to £37,000
• Benefits Package 
• Early Finish Fridays at 2.30pm

SHEQ Manager – Requirements  

• Ideally educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a Scientific discipline you will have a minimum of 3 years experience running a quality department in a similar industry.
• Essential:
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 – 14001
• Knowledge of systems that impact chemical distribution
• Advanced IT Skills
• Full UK Driving License
• Preferred:
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications
• Knowledge of MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency)
• Knowledge of API Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
• Skills and Characteristics:
•  Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• An organised and diligent approach with attention to detail.
• Able to lead and coach a team and also to work independently when needed.

 Engineering Maintenance Manager – Responsibilities  

• Working with the Compliance team to ensure compliance with all requirements including ISO 9001/14001, MHRA, API distribution.
• Managing the Quality Control, Samples, Product Testing, Quarantine and Complaints systems
• Working with other departments to maintain and improve health and safety procedures and monitor environmental impact
• Co-ordinate and conduct Internal and External Audits
• The role involves occasional travel within the UK & Ireland
