Our client is an established and leading independent supplier of products to the healthcare sector. Part of a growing international group the business is growing and is looking for an extra buyer to lead and support this growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating new product lines, brokering deals and managing the supply process, ensuring accurate data and cost and operations savings are delivered as required.
 
Category Buyer (Non Clinical) – The Rewards

Category Buyer (Non Clinical)– Requirements  

• CIPS Fully Qualified
• Previous experience gained within the healthcare industry either a Senior Buyer or Category Buyer
• Experienced in negotiation, brokering deals and submitting flawless tenders.
• Driven for success and able to take the initiative to expand the categories as required.
• Strong focus on customer service and innovation.
• Confident use of Microsoft office, strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.

Category Buyer (Non Clinical) – Responsibilities  

• Responsible for driving forward the growth of the business by strategically sourcing products based on business information available
• The negotiation, tendering and due diligence of products, then support the new product introduction.
• Management of Suppliers and ensuring adherence to SLAs agreed up front
• Maintain accurate records and an updated database
• Proactive approach to delivering cost and operational savings.
• Full ownership and management of assigned categories.
