Our client is an established and growing manufacturer and distributor of chemical products for a wide range of applications. The business is looking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk.

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Requirements  

• Ideally will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable) Role.
• Previous experience gained within a process based fast-paced manufacturing / FMCG environment and liaising with different departments within the business.
• Great communication skills at all levels.
• Organised, pro-active and able to work in a methodical manner.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Responsibilities  

• Processing purchase ledger/ supplier invoices, ensuring invoices match goods/services received) through to running payment, BACS runs for approval and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Process ad-hoc payment requests through the bank and post to the ledger (Expenses, proformas etc)
• Monitor and control expenses – identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
• Accounts/ Bank Account reconciliation / Allocating payments
• Liaise with department who deal with invoice queries
• Create reports for Management to demonstrate cash flow projections based on activity.
• Other tasks relating to the support of the Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger Team.
